The Conference

India is experiencing an unprecedented boom in infrastructure development, particularly in tunnelling for railways and roads across the mighty Himalayas, as well as in hydropower generation through pumped storage projects. With an impressive 70 GW of solar power already available, the country is now focusing on developing a massive 47 GW of pumped storage capacity over the next decade. Several such projects are currently at various stages of development, marking a transformative phase in India's energy landscape.

EGCON 2025 - the International Conference on Engineering Geology and Geohazards, to be held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, from 01-03 December 2025, offers a dynamic platform for exchanging cutting-edge advancements in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering, and geohazards. The event provides an invaluable opportunity to engage with leading experts from industry and academia while also experiencing India's rich cultural diversity and warm hospitality.

The IAEG India National Group invites you to be a part of this prestigious event—share your technical expertise, collaborate with global professionals, and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable infrastructure.

The Venue
The EGCON 2025 shall be held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, a prestigious convention center in New Delhi. The campus weaves in a unique interplay of institutions, supporting infrastructure and facilities such as conference venues, auditoria, hospitality areas, the library, resource center, and art galleries. Elegantly designed, the campus is a hub of activity while remaining serene. The architectural and design elements enable it to be a paradoxical blend of landscaping, horticulture and fountains.

Each hall at the IHC is equipped with modern audio-visual systems and offers on-site technical assistance for seamless presentations. A diverse culinary experience is also on offer and the delegates are sure to love it.
